First Annual Fundraising Gala

Kings Bay Y to hold First Annual Fundraising Gala to raise money for Teen programming

We have some exciting news! The Kings Bay Y will be hosting its First Annual Fundraising Gala, the inaugural fundraising event for our southern Brooklyn flagship location.

This year, we’ll be raising money to address the urgent subject of teen and pre-teen Addiction and Recovery. Specifically, we’re hoping to create new programming in our Teen Department focusing on the Opioid Addiction and Drugs; Stress & Self-Harm, and Screen Addiction. Our goals are to help teens and pre-teens become more aware of the dangers of drugs, teach them how to deal with stress in constructive instead of self-destructive ways, and motivate them to seek more positive, productive uses of their time than their cellphones, iPads and computers.

The fundraiser will take place on May 30th, 2019 at 6:30 pm at La Vue Restaurant located at 3203 Emmons Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11235 and we look forward to your enthusiastic participation.
