Gold Medalist Starlings Girls Volleyball Team Visit Kings Bay YM-YWHA
On April 5th, 2007, some of the girls (17 and under) volleyball team players from the Starlings Team, winners of the Gold Medal in California in 2006, were invited to showcase their skills at the Kings Bay YM-YWHA in Brooklyn.
They played from 9AM to 2PM and also invited some of the volleyball players of the Y leagues to mix it up and at the same time hone their own skills.
Coach Felix Alberto (holding the ball) said he was quite pleased with the invitation and hospitality for his players. He was also very pleasantly surprised by the level of play of some of the volley players at the Kings Bay Y.
A few of the players, including Andrew Cassius (pictured center holding banner), Hannah Cassius and Alex Nagorney hope to be able to go to the Maccabi volleyball games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the end of the year.
