A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAMPER

CAMPER GROUPS

Campers are divided into camp among groups: Division 1, Division 2, and Teen Camp. Each group of campers will have a slightly different schedule, tailored to their individual age groups. Campers will participate in activities such as fencing, archery, sports, arts and crafts, dance, theater, yoga, cooking and much more. They will go on trips that will increase their exposure to new and exciting experiences. They will also engage in instructional and recreational swim 4 times a week. Divisions 2 and Teen Camp will get the opportunity of attending two on-campus sleepovers and will go on an overnight away trip to NJY Camps in Milford, PA.

DAILY SCHEDULE

  • The camp day officially begins at 8:30am and ends at 4:15pm. Long trip days may end as late as 7:00pm
  • Breakfast is served at 8:30am-9:30am and activities begin after breakfast. Throughout the day, lunch and snack are also served.
 

    WEEKLY SCHEDULE

**PLEASE NOTE ALL BUSES ARE AIR-CONDITIONED**

  1. Mondays are DRESS-UP DAYS, such as Costume Day, Crazy Hair Day, and Hawaii Luau Day. Children are encouraged to be as creative as possible with their costumes! These are also Fort Hamilton Army Base days!
  2. Tuesdays are SHOW DAYS. Children will be able to enjoy in-house shows such as a Magic Show, Live Animal Show and more! Tuesdays will also be TRIP DAYS to local places such as Deno's Amusement Park. 
  3. Wednesdays  are Fort Hamilton Army Base Days! The children will enjoy swimming, fencing, archery, a private 8-lane bowling alley and so much more!
  4. Thursdays are LONG TRIP DAYS, to faraway and exciting places such as Lego Land, CoCo Key Indoor Water Resort, and Adventure Land. Some of these days are LATE PICK-UP. Look out for these days on our calendar!
  5. Fridays are THEMED BEACH DAYS, such as Pajama Day, Twin Day and Superhero Day. Children are encouraged to dress up on these days and all activities are based on the themes. Children are treated to a huge barbeque party and fun on the beach, as well as themed activities and play in sprinklers, sand and shade.

Campers are divided into groups based on age and skill level.
Those enrolled in Basketball Campparticipate in 2 basketball training sessions per day. 
Those enrolled in Swim Campparticipate in 2-hour long swim sessions daily.

  • Children enrolled in Basketball Camp work on key skills to improve dribbling, passing and shooting. Girls and boys work on individual and team skills, game warm-up and sports conditioning, which will enhance their performance in games.
  • Children enrolled in Swim Camp have two daily pool sessions which emphasize stroke and skill development. The schedule will include individualized stroke drills, start, turns, strength and flexibility exercises.

  • Tuesdays are Fort Hamilton Army Base Days! Children will swim and participate in a myriad of activities.
  • Wednesdays are LONG TRIP DAYS, to faraway and exciting places such as Madison Square Garden, CoCo Keys Indoor Water Resort, and Adventure Land. Some of these days are LATE PICK-UP. Look out for these days on our calendar.
  • Thursdays are BEACH DAYS, with themes such as Obstacle Course Day, Defense Day, and Color War. Children will be treated to a huge barbeque party and fun on the beach, as well as themed activities and play in the sand and shade.
  • Fridays are TRAINING DAYS as well as THEME DAYS, with such themes as Wacky Tacky Day, Army Day, and Crazy Hat Day. These are also Marine Park days!
