Summer Camp Terms & Conditions

  • Late stay option is only available until 6pm on Fridays.
  • Registration for Transportation ends on June 13, 2016
  • July 4, 2016 is a National Holiday. Camp is not in session on this date.
  • A deposit of $200 is required for each camper with this application. The deposit will be deducted from the final cost.
  • All checks or money orders should be made payable to the "Kings Bay YM-YWHA.”
  • Full payment is due by June 1, 2016. Payments made after the due date of June 1st incur a $50 late fee. Payments made after June 10th incur a $75 late fee and payments made after June 20th incur $100 late fee.
  • All payment plan requests must be submitted during time of registration.
  • A service charge of $75 will be deducted for cancellations following submission of the registration packages but prior to June 1, 2016.
  • No refunds will be issued after June 1, 2016.
  • Only children ages 13 and older may be dismissed by themselves with prior notarized written parental/guardian approval.
  • A standard Department of Health Medical Form must be submitted to the camp by June 1, 2016. No camper may attend camp without the completed Medical Form and Emergency Authorization Form.
  • The Kings Bay YM-YWHA is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property.
  • The Kings Bay YM-YWHA reserves the right to add surcharges to any camp program.
  • No makeups or refunds will be issued for days missed.
  • Campers will be charged a rate of $1 per minute for late pick-ups.
  • If you are applying for a scholarship, please be aware that all other discounts will be reflected within your total scholarship rate.
  • It is the goal of our program to provide a healthy and safe environment for all participants. If a participant displays any inappropriate behavior, or endangers the health and safety of participants or staff, we will contact the parent/guardian to immediately come to the site. We may suspend the participant from the program or consider permanent termination in extreme situations.

After School Terms & Conditions

  • All payments are due on or before the first of each month, for the upcoming month.
  • For school closures/holidays, Mini Camps are offered for an additional fee.
  • Medical forms must be completed and submitted prior to the child's admission to the program.
  • The Kings Bay Y will not be responsible for damage to, or loss of, personal property.
  • I hereby give permission for my child to be photographed/videotaped for promotional purposes.
  • I hereby give permission for my child to participate in all general program activities.
  • Our program hours are Monday thru Friday, from 2:30PM to 6:00 PM. Extended day is available Monday thru Friday from 6:00pm-7:00pm at an additional fee.
  • Late arrival policy fee: For arrival after 6pm, a fee of $1 per minute will be charged.

Membership Terms & Conditions

  • MEMBERSHIP FEE IS NOT REFUNDABLE & MEMBERSHIP IS NOT TRANSFERABLE. POOL & GYM SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE, TO BEST ACCOMMODATE THE NEEDS OF MEMBERS AND TO HELP SERVE THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. VERIFICATION OF SCHOOL GRADE, SINGLE PARENT FAMILY STATUS OR MEDICARE MUST BE SUPPLIED
  • The Kings Bay Y expects members and guests to behave in an appropriate manner. The Kings Bay Y reserves the right to cancel membership and/or terminate program participation without refund for any reason including, but not limited to damage or destruction of Kings Bay Y property, theft, failure to follow proper safety precautions and practices, inappropriate behavior and fighting, harassment of other participants, members of staff, physical or verbal abuse, or use of profanity, failure to pay membership fees, failure to follow policies set by the Kings Bay Y. Bicycles and rollerblades are not permitted in the building or to be left on the ramp. The bicycle rack is available for your use. The Kings Bay Y is not responsible for damage to or theft of bicycles. Smoking in the building is prohibited.

Preschool / UPK Terms & Conditions

  • REFUND POLICY After the child has been accepted and a contract has been signed deposits may be refunded, less a $100 processing fee, until August 15th. After that date, deposits will not be refunded or transferred to any other program, department or member, unless the child’s withdrawal is requested by the Y.
  • FEE AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE: This contract is for the full fee for the 180 day school year starting on September 8, 2016 and ending in June 2017. For your convenience, following the deposit with registration the balance of the contracted fee may be paid in 8 equal installments from Oct 2016 through May 2017. The deposit required with registration is equal to the total of the September and the June payment. Thereafter (October through May) the payment is due on or before the first day of each month.
  • A current membership card OR non-member entry card is required by each person entering the building. The fees for the non-members entry cards are as shown above.
  • HOLIDAYS & CLOSINGS: Our preschool closely follows the NYC public school calendar and therefore we will provide a minimum of 180 instructional days. Please see our calendar to determine which days the school will be closed. In the event of inclement weather or an emergency, if the public schools are closed, we will be closed as well. For your convenience, mini-camps may be offered during extended school closings for an additional “per day” fee.
  • MEDICALS A NYC Dept. of Health medical form, completed by your child’s doctor, is due before school starts.
  • ACCIDENT INSURANCE Accident insurance is required for all children while at school. The cost of this plan has been incorporated into your tuition fee.
  • PERSONAL PROPERTY The “Y” will not be responsible for damage to or loss of personal property.
  • I GIVE PERMISSION FOR MY CHILD TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED OR VIDEOTAPED FOR KINGS BAY YM-YWHA PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL.
  • I GIVE MY CHILD PERMISSION TO GO ON ALL TRIPS AND TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, BOTH ON AND OFF PREMISES.
