Sports Classes for Adults

Hatha Yoga
Ages 18 +

Monday 6:30pm - 8:00pm (10 classes)
12/5, 12/12, 12/19, 12/26, 01/2, 01/9, 01/16, 02/27, 03/6, 03/13; Fee: Non-member $180 / Member $150

Flexibility, emotional and mental calmness. Build stamina and energy, strengthen bones and increase mental focus.
Prorating $ 20 per class.

Silver Sneakers Fitness Program

The SilverSneakersĀ® Fitness Program is an exercise program especially for older adults. Members enjoy free aerobics, yoga and aquatics classes several times a week. Members also receive a free membership to the Kings Bay Y which includes full access to our pool and fitness center.

Program is available for adults who have Medicare health insurances like Humana, AARP, Oxford, Secure Horizons, Well Care, Aetna or Empire BLUE CROSS/BLUE SHIELD.  Classes are free for Silver Sneakers and Kings Bay Y members.  Classes are available to the public for $10 fee per session

Ongoing Classes

YOGA STRETCH

Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

MUSCULAR STRENGTH + RANGE OF MOVEMENT
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills.
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm

CARDIO CURCUIT
Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head to toe stretching and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.
